I am planning on utilizing the kinect, coding in c# within visual studio, and taking advantage of http://kinectcontrib.codeplex.com and Microsoft's SDK for the kinect to make a prototype of a game. I already have the kinect recognized (and recognizing people), but I need to get the data from movement. I'm interested in this as I'm developing a game in a game engine development course and I'd like to work everything together. I need to work toward my first step and get my kinect skeleton to work as a controller. I was inspired by http://youtu.be/jLpI5Ctwof4. The project in this class may or may not be a prototype of what I'm working towards in my game engine development course. I'm making a 3D game with some simple controls based with the kinect.

I can make a simple 3D game in the time we have (C# and visual studio); I just want to implement Kinect. The Kinect is the challenge. I am looking to online resources as few as there are- curse you MSDN and your search functions. Thankfully it's not as bad it feels http://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/64e65bf1-105e-4776-a1e5-df7dfe31e93f/kinect-c?forum=kinectsdk . There have been people interested in contributing, but nothing has been solidified. If we are working in a group I will veer off C# and work in the prototyping language Processing.

Possible things that we would like to create for this class that I'm implementing into the game are particle systems.
